Meet The Team!

Ray is a Junior at Mt. Everest Academy. They were not only the co-founder of Mt. Everest Academy’s book club, but also the co-creator/designer of the Eudaimonia website. They are also a member of the MEA Academic League, DND Club, and will be running for co-president of the schools ASB with Jody Huege, another member of the Eudaimonia Team. In their free time, they enjoy petting their cats and wishing that they could adopt every animal in the world. They hope to attend UCSC for college to study linguistics and literature.

Miranda Martien is a freshman at Mt Everest Academy. They are two bands in which they play French Horn, and are joining Mission Bay’s symphony orchestra next year. They are also leadership in the Ally Action and Coop Group clubs.

Alex Papen is a Senior at Mount Everest Academy. He is a black belt, enjoys outdoor adventure, plays the cello, and fills his spare time with videogames and DnD. Alex has recently finished the college application process and will be attending the University of Chicago in the fall, where he intends to study physics. 

Jody is a junior at Mount Everest Academy. He enjoys English and history, and he serves on multiple SDUSD committees. As president of MEA’s literary club and GSA, he works to inspire creativity and inclusion on campus. He runs, sings, and reads in his free time. 

Scott is a senior at Mt. Everest Academy, where he is vice president of the school's ASB and president of two different clubs. When he isn't working or finding excuses to hang out on campus, he enjoys writing, eating, and any kind of game. He will probably be attending UC Davis next year to study statistics.

Kaya Hancock is a Sophomore at Mount Everest Academy. She is a competitive sailor, avid backpacker, and works part  time as a lifeguard. As a rising Junior, Kaya is at the footsteps of the college application process.  

Vihaan Bhardwaj is a freshman at Mt. Everest Academy. He is passionate about Economics, Policy, Political Science, and Mathematics. Outside of school, he enjoys talking about politics, traveling, and learning music and instruments, especially ones that come from his native India.

Mckenzie Tusantoso is a Freshman at Mount Everest Academy. He plays many sports such as fencing and golf. Outside of school and sports, he enjoys playing online games, volunteering at local food banks, and learning about coding.
